welcome to the vineyard
Flag Hill sits on a 110 acre conservation easement which preserves the property to remain in agriculture forever. The farm switched from a dairy farm to a vineyard in 1987 with the planting of the first grapes on the property, and the winery began in 1990 with their first harvest. Later in 2004, Flag Hill Distillery began making vodka from New Hampshire apples.
Flag Hill prides themselves on using their farm to produce the grapes, grain, livestock and vegetables for their events. Anything else, they partner with local vendors.
Having a relaxing, beautiful location for our celebration was of course the goal. But having an event that follows our principles of eating local and shopping with our favorite small businesses was vital. Flag Hill directly speaks to what we believe in. Plus, of course, we love a great bottle of wine!

planning for fun
here’s the answer to every question we ask ourselves whenever we go somewhere
-
Drinks and laughter will start at 3pm. We’ll dig into good eats, backyard games, and dancing shortly after. The fun has to end at 9pm.
-
We’ve been to a lot of weddings and we mean no disrespect when we say this - but - they’re too stuffy. We’re all about function over form and always having a good time with a smile. This is a celebration of our family and bringing everyone together to enjoy. Please dress casual! Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and brings out your inner fashionista. We all have that one favorite outfit - show it off!
-
Flag Hill has plenty of parking! Come one, come all… this is definitely not a worry.
-
Sun or clouds, rain or snow… come on, its New England. The party will happen no matter the weather and we’ll be out of the elements underneath the pavilion. Of course, we’re envisioning a beautiful fall day to allow us all to fully enjoy the vineyard, but if everything is “perfect” what’s the fun?
-
Sticking to our relaxed theme, we’re planning for a plethora of fun finger foods with a few main dishes to make you full. Of course, everything local. We promise, no fancy plates that leave you stopping somewhere on the way home for food.
An assortment of yummy apps, pulled pork & burger sliders, fresh Maine lobster rolls, assortment of summer salads, and sautéd veggie dishes for our vegan friends. All cooked by Flag Hill's chef!
-
Heck no! But in all seriousness, we truly view your gift as your presence. See our page “you’re our gift” for more.
-
We will be having a private ceremony at our home earlier on the same day. We value our privacy and want to have our vows done in a way that follows our beliefs. The best part of a wedding is the celebration - and that’s where you come in! We can’t wait to see you soon.
our Flag Hill picks
Of course we’re biased, but Flag Hill truly has some of the best spirits and wine we’ve tasted. If you can’t wait until 09•22•24 (we don’t blame you) then you must try our favorites:
flag hill red
Steven’s Pick: 100% grapes from Lee, NH with notes of berry and subtle cherry. It’s an easy drinking red. Perfect for a delicious homemade lasagna!
cayuga white
Zak’s Pick: 100% grapes from Lee, NH with a fresh background of orange, pear, and green apple. Think of a Riesling but better.
spiced rum
Z&S Pick: Insanely good. Vanilla, cinnamon, and spices stand out as you drink this New England style rum. We always have this on our liquor shelf!
